Ok, these are just super cool.
I have been into natural beauty products for a very long time. I’m particularly back on that bandwagon as I grow my hair long again. I have been doing conditioner-only washes and using all natural oils on my hair, such as argan oil, olive oil, coconut oil, and shea oil (which is too heavy for me to use as anything but a wash-out heavy oil treatment).
I wanted to mention a great use for the very inexpensive vegetable glycerin you can get at the drugstore (mine was $4 at Walgreen’s). Many of you have tried the product MAC Fix+ to set foundation and to hydrate the face during the day when it gets dry (feels amazing!). However, if you look at the ingredients, you’ll find the price is ridiculous. I mixed a rosewater toner (organic rosewater in witch hazel base) with 1/4 parts glycerin in a spray bottle and it is just a great versatile product. I use it as a fixative after foundation/powder, I use it on my foundation sponge to get a sheer coverage, and I spritz it in my hair sometimes since the glycerin works as a humectant. I have also read that you can mix it into your conditioner or even into your facial moisturizer - just be careful - a few drops will do!
How do you use vegetable glycerin (if you’ve tried it)?
